Kerala State Council for Science, Technology & Environment (KSCSTE) instituted this programme in memory of late Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam. This programme targets the youth in the State for taking up challenges in specialized areas and encourage the youth to propose innovative ideas for solving the problems which are very relevant to the State of Kerala.
Any youth below 30 years of age and a permanent resident of Kerala can apply under this programme. Challenge areas will be identified and posted before the youth. Youth can submit proposals on these areas. The proposals will be reviewed and evaluated by subject experts at various levels and generally up to 10 best proposals will be provided maximum
₹ 5 lakhs for developing the prototype/working model for a period of 1 year. The applicants of the selected proposals will be attached to Tie up Institutions for developing the prototype. After the development of the proto, the best Innovation among them will be selected and will be awarded with ₹ 50 lakhs, along with technical support and guidance in developing the technology based on the proposal. The proposals in this programme shall only be submitted through online.
