National Seminar on IPR

18th & 19th July 2008
at Thiruvananthapuram

Kerala State Council for Science, Technology & Environment (KSCSTE) jointly with Patent Office - Chennai & National Institute for Intellectual Property Management (NIIPM), Nagpur, is organizing a National Seminar on Intellectual Property Rights at Thiruvananthapuram on 18th & 19th July 2008.

About the Seminar

The Seminar will cover all aspects of IPR like Patent Cooperation Treaty, Patenting System, Patent Drafting & Filing, Copyrights, Geographical Indications and Protection of Traditional Knowledge. The Seminar also will give opportunity for the inventors from the State to interact with the officials of the Patent Office, Chennai and clarify their doubts regarding the patent filing procedures and requirements.

Who can attend the Seminar?

Scientists, Faculty & Students from Engineering/ Science/ Law Schools, Officials, Grass root innovators and interested public.

Registration

• No registration fee will be charged for attending the Seminar.
• The registration form is available in the website or may be collected from the KSCSTE Office. Those who wish to attend the Seminar are requested to download the registration form and mail to the email id patentcentre@gmail.com or send it to KSCSTE in the address given below.
• Since the number of participants are limited to 200, the participants will be selected based on first come– first serve basis.
• Last date for submission of Registration Form will be 14th July 2008.
• Confirmation of registration will be intimated only through e-mail or telephone.
• Spot registration is not available.

Travel and Accommodation

The participants have to make their own arrangements for the travel and accommodation.
The Organizers will provide Course materials, Stationery and Refreshment as part of the Seminar.
