PROGRAMMES :

The conscious promotion of science and technology for human welfare is one of the principal objectives of any progressive Government. The people and Government of Kerala have long been committed to this objective and the achievement we have made in this line is universally recognised. The Council, in this line is providing financial assistance and support to promote the science and Technology development in the State. This is being effected in Tiers. The First Tier Council is offering Funds directly to Scientists and Researchers working in R&D centres/university departments etc., the Second Tier, funding the SIX research institutes coming under its umbrella and the Third tier by providing Financial assistance to Grant in aid Organisations.

The Council also recognizes the fact that progress of science and technology in society requires not only the creation and motivation of a large body of intellectuals, but also the creation and promotion of scientific temperament among the masses. It is necessary to create an awareness among the people of the importance of science and technology in fostering the socio-economic development of the Kerala and India at Large.
